Tutorials and tips

Note: This tutorials are quite old, as they were made in the first year of when we begun dolling. So they are not so good and we have changed style a bit since, we've learned. We hope to make new tutorials soon (if we have time for that).

Usefull links

As we started dolling there weren't too many practical advices how to build a doll site. There are a lot of advices how to do the most fabulous dolls or how to use good paint programs but not for example where to find those cool tag boards everyone seems to have or help with making our doll sites. 

Now that we have made it this far we decided to lend a helping hand for all those beginners who still are planning of building a site. We are not advertising nor saying that you must use these programs. When we started building a site we had to look for ourselves most of the programs. Now we are only pointing out that these programs worked out fine for us. All of these programs are either free or have free tryouts.

Polls, mailforms...
These are good because you can have multiple services from one place.
- BRAVENET: offers counters, polls, forms, guestmap and other...
- SPARKLIT: polls, temlates, mailforms...
- ALXNET: guestbook, poll, quiz...
- FREECENTER: counter, guestbook, poll...

Counters, trackers
There are so many counters in the net and they are not hard to find. On the other hand counters with statistics and which are free might not be so easy to find.
- OKCOUNTER: nice graphics and a lot to choose from
- EXTREME TRACKING: no counter only tracker with statics
- NEDSTAT: only tracker with stats 
- STATCOUNTER: invisible stat and counter

Tag-board
It seems to more than a rule that every doll site must have a tag-board. Well you can live without it but it is nice to have so here are few site who offer that service for free. If you choose you can also use guestbook which are not that hard to find.
- TAG-BOARD: simple, easy to use
- MYSHOUTBOX: Simple and easy to use, smaller than previous

HTML-programs
If you don't know anything about Html-language this is easy to use program. 
- COOLPAGE: We used this before and liked it. You can download free smaller version which we also used and it was good enough for us that time. The worlds simplest to use.
- ACEHTML: freeware
(There are others also but I just don't seem to remember those anymore.)
